What is an LST?+

LST's stand for Liquid Staking Tokens. Due to the nature of this Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain, staked Solana earns yields overtime. For more detailed information, refer to this article.

How does Charity Soul work then?+

Charity Soul will automatically take the yield generated from LSTs and donate that yield towards charitable causes.

What is the breakdown of what the LST funds will be used for?+

1. A majority % of the LST yield generated goes straight into all the charities as specified by the users. By default, it gets split equally amongst all charities. 2. A small % of the LST yield goes towards a treasury wallet, utilized to pay staff, keep operations running, and continue supporting long-term development of charitySOL.

How can I donate to a specific charity of my choice?+

You can choose from a list of eligible charities that we already have, or also choose by categories. By default, you are contributing equally to all charities.

How do you prove that charities will use the money for good?+

We vet charities with a thorough process to ensure that your money doesn't go to waste. We want to be completely transparent with users, so we will work with charities to ensure all their activities with the donations is showcased.

What if I want to make a charity myself/help contribute in some way?+

Can I use this in my taxes?+

Absolutely, you can utilize the yield generated as a donation to charity. You can also utilize it for tax loss harvesting. This means you can use these donations as tax write offs. For further info, please consult your specific country's laws and regulations regarding charitable acts.

Will you guys ever do an airdrop or token generation event (TGE)?+

As of now, we do not intend on doing an airdrop or any kind of TGE. Any posts/messages/links that says we are having an airdrop/tge/claim is a scam, please avoid it at all costs. Verify all social media links. Do your due diligence!
